Can I take Prilosec while trying to have a baby? My friend is trying to conceive and doesnt know if she can take it while trying? She is going to call her Dr in the am we’re just trying to research it some before she finds out.

Question by wolfe: Is it safe to take prilosec if you are preganant and were on the medicine prior to getting pregnant?
Prilosec use was due to severe acid refluex. Now thtat the medicine is not being taken the acid refluex has gotten worse as the pregnancy procedes.

It was prescribed to me by my doctor because of the heartburn I was getting from being pregnant. Before pregnancy I had no problems at all!

Either way…it’s best to get YOUR doctors opinion. They are the one following your pregnany and know your history.
