The easiest way would be to take all her pills to a pharmacist and have him/her straighten it out. The PDR (Physician’s Desk Reference) would have pictures of all pills as well. There may be one online, but otherwise you could find it in a health science library or possibly at your local library.

In home health care we often are asked to set up a client’s medications for two weeks. The client then never takes pills from their original marked containers and simply takes that day’s doses from a med box that has seven days to it. You can get them that have a box for four times a day dosing also. For confused patients this is your best solution to a common problem with confused people.

Yes, let me get you a link. You can look up drugs by name or by description.

Go to http://www.drugs.com and click on the pill identification tab. You can enter color, imprint, size, shape, etc. This has always been very helpful!!

also, just call your pharmacy. CVS is usually a big help.

It may not be a website, but if you go to the library, you can find a book called the PDR (physician’s desk reference). That will not only give you descriptions, but photographs of what each pill is.

A number of pharmacies are putting a description of the pills contained in the bottle on their labels. You might want to see if your pharmacy does that. Also, you can get a list of your mom’s meds from your pharmacist, who can also give you a description of each of those medications.

    Good luck

There is “The Pill Book” which is updated regularly and has photos. But I would take her and all her meds to your pharmacy and let the pharmacy tech help you straighten them out… I wouldn’t do that on my own and you need professional help.

If you know the name of the medications that she is taking, you may be able to identify them through this link

    Hope this helps
