Question by mrscrystikal: Has anyone suffered sexual side effects from Lisinopril or Benicar?
If so do you know of a different BP med that didnt cause it?

Best answer:

Answer by CCHOT2U
no.i am on lisinopril and the only side effect that i have experienced is a horrible dry cough.i have been on it for 6 months and i went to my dr. last week for a follow up visit and told her of this .she is a firm believer that the dry cough is a side effect from lisinopril.she suggested that i go back in two months for a follow up visit because my bronchitis kicked in and i am now taking promethazine vc/with codeine every 4 hours as well as zithromax.

Has anyone found a drug similar to adipex or phentermine that works? What about Fastin?

Category: FastinPrescription Search @ 6:00 pm

Question by biancatwin: Has anyone found a drug similar to adipex or phentermine that works? What about Fastin?
Apparently there is a new form of fastin that has different chemicals. Has anyone tried it?
Thanks Jill. I looked at the site. Which Acomplia do you use (generic or brand)? Have you had difficulty getting it past customs.

Best answer:

Answer by Jill M
hmm, new form of Fastin? never heard of it..especially with different chemicals.. I’m sure then it would be under a different name, but Phentermine(Adipex) have got many names like
Adipex P (Immediate release)
Anoxine-AM
Fastin (discontinued)
Ionamin (Slow Release Resin, Australia, discontinued in the US)
Duromine (Slow Release Resin, New Zealand & Australia)
Obephen
Obermine
Obestin-30
Phentrol
Phenterex
Phentromin
Pro-Fast SA
Redusa
Panbesy
Phentermine Trenker
Obenix
Oby-Trim
Just checked wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fastin

if there were some news, I’m sure it would be on this site as it gets edited very often updated very quickly.
For me acomplia has been the best. which I used as an alternative, but it works compeltely different than phen. Phentermine also showed good results, but I started to get addicted and it had way too nasty side effects.
happy not to have any sides with acomplia so far.
I am losing a pound or few every week.
It is very popular in UK, Germany and many other countries worldwide. Not so much in the US yet.
But you must keep in mind that people with depression and other mental problems should avoid acomplia as I have read that some of the people who are in this risk group get some mental side effects. So if you notice something strange, you should stop taking the pills immediately and see your doc.
This is good site for Acomplia info if anyone’s interested

Q&A: Does anyone take Lantus and Apidra? What is the difference between different type of Insulin?

Category: LantusPrescription Search @ 4:02 pm

Question by So I will dance with Cinderella: Does anyone take Lantus and Apidra? What is the difference between different type of Insulin?
If not what insulin are you on? Are all insulins the same? Like I know there are 24-hour insulin(Lantus) and rapid but like are all the rapid-acting insulins the same?

Best answer:

Answer by EebDoc
Differences in insulin are usually simply the half-life of the insulin (how long it lasts), the speed of activation (how quickly it first starts working), and how much ‘zinc’ is within it.

Zinc is what they add to insulin to make it last longer. Its why your lantus will last 24 hours, whereas NPH will only last 12-15 hours. Zinc, however, also burns immensely when injected subcutaneously. Thus, each endocrinologist must determine what is the better fit for you.

If you have any more questions, let me know, I’ll be glad to help.

does anyone know about the commercial caduet? Inwould like to know if twins are used for this comercial?

Category: CaduetPrescription Search @ 4:02 pm

Question by seemom35: does anyone know about the commercial caduet? Inwould like to know if twins are used for this comercial?
This Caduet commercial, seems as though the
people that make the commercial on cholesteral/heart medication are useing Twins. are they?

Best answer:

Answer by emt_me911
I think it’s more CGI than twins. Computers can do some really neat things when it comes to cinematography and I think that’s exactly what’s happening.

While I can’t they that twins are not used in the filming of commercials, why go to all that trouble when a computer can give it to you much more easily?

Has anyone using lumigan drops found them to lose their potency at the bottom of the bottle?

Category: LumiganPrescription Search @ 4:01 pm

Question by Helen O: Has anyone using lumigan drops found them to lose their potency at the bottom of the bottle?
I have noticed that as I approach the bottom of my bottle of lumigan drops, my eye pressure rises and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this as well.

Best answer:

Answer by Baby
This should not be the case with any eye drops. They should all last for a month and should work well for through the month. You need to be discussing this with your ophthalmologist

Does anyone know how much Levoxyl medicine is normal for a two hundred pound person?

Category: LevoxylPrescription Search @ 3:00 pm

Question by groffstevee: Does anyone know how much Levoxyl medicine is normal for a two hundred pound person?
My best friend has a thyroid condition, she takes a medicine called Levoxyl to keep her thyroid in check.
Her doctor has her on 137 mcg of levoxyl daily.Does that sound normal to anyone else?

Best answer:

Answer by michelle c
I believe dosing is based on level of thyroid dysfunction and not weight. I have seen patients weight approximately the same as one another, some are on 50 mcg and others are on 200 mcg.
