How long will my hair last?
I just noticed my hair getting thinner at the top just a few weeks ago. My hairline is great, it’s just that I can see my scalp very clearly through my hair now… very very much. And I can see it’s a bit red.
I’m just 21 and already I feel I’ll become like those bald ‘old’ guys out there. It’s not fair. How come they got bald only when they’re old, and me while still young?

Since my thinning hair became noticeable just recently, how long will my hair look normal? How long till people realize that I’m on a fruitless cause and suggest that I should just shave it off? Can you get bald in just a few months, or does this take years… or hopefully, decades?

I have thinning/loss of hair, itchy scalp, and lots of dandruff?
It sucks, and I don’t know what to do about it. I have been using Nizoral but it does not seem to be helping. Could this be several problems, or could it all be related to one problem?
The hair loss/thinning seemed to have started before, but more recently I have noticed a lot of dandruff and itchy scalp that won’t go away, no matter how often I use Nizoral (and I have within the past few days started keeping the Nizoral on my scalp for several minutes before rinsing). I don’t want to use Head & Shoulders since I hear that this causes hair thinning also.
As for my hair loss, I have been trying Rogaine for a few months, but I don’t know how much it is helping (but I do admit that I miss applications quite often). A couple of days ago I read that I should start taking a B-Complex vitamin to help with hair loss, so I just started doing this. If this doesn’t work, I will probably try Propecia.
Any advice for me? Being that they started at different times, I am skeptical if they are due to the same cause, but maybe it could be? Could it be head lice or something?

As Jackolantern commented, I don’t really eat that many sugary foods, but I do eat a lot of fatty foods though (probably not the healthiest), but I am still very thin.
And as Saucy commented, could a thyroid problem cause all 3 of these symptoms? I did just a few days ago start taking a B-complex vitamin and a regular multivitamin, but I could go to the doctor and get my blood checked.
