Well i was diagnosed with acid reflux (gerd or what ever) about a year ago, and now i burp ALL the time, quite loudly, and not just a little burp, sometimes more like a belch. Its really embarassing and I was wondering if the antacid (generic brand of Zantac) is supposed to be making me do this? I’m a girl in my early teens.

I keep getting a sore on my lip could it be cancer?
For several months now I’ve kept getting what I think is a cold sore on my lip, in the same place, everytime, it doesn’t pop up anywhere else. My dentist prescribed me Valtrex to prevent the oral herpe from popping up, but it doesn’t work anymore. I can feel a hard ball in my lip and it does hurt. I just turned 24 and I do spend ALOT of time in the sun. My mom just had skin cancer removed.
Am I being paranoid because of my mom’s cancer?
Or could I possibly have skin cancer in my lip?

Is Boniva an example of the “Death Panels” Republicans keep talking about?
“…Boniva’s convenient, sure. But as the Adwatch video explains, that convenience comes at a price—it can set you back about 10 times the cost of the similar drug alendronate (the generic version of Fosamax). No wonder Boniva’s backers, Roche and GlaxoSmithKline can afford to invest in a big-name celebrity to pitch it. Interestingly, studies don’t show that Boniva is any more effective than other bisphosphonates. So unless you absolutely can’t tolerate a weekly dosing schedule, it makes sense to try the generic first, even if it means you won’t take the same drug as Sally.
And that’s if you really need the drug in the first place. While there’s clear evidence that bisphosphonates reduce the risk of bone fractures among people with osteoporosis, there’s some concern in the medical community that more people will take the drugs than needed, due in part to osteopenia, a “pre-osteoporosis” diagnostic category for which the bisphosphonates’ worth is less clear. That means millions of postmenopausal women with reduced bone density—but not osteoporosis—could expose themselves to the drugs’ risks, including heartburn, jawbone damage, and vision-harming eye inflammation. While the latter two side effects are very rare, they certainly make Boniva seem less glamorous…”

In other words, Will the government deny someone this treatment, just because it’s 10 times more expensive than the generic and not proven to work for people who don’t actually have osteoporosis?
(((James L))): Talk about taking quotes out of context!
“In other words, this is what the truth is and a candidate will never say, but what a candidate should say if we were in the kind of democracy where citizens were honored in terms of their practice of citizenship and they were educated in terms of what the issues were and they could separate myth from reality in terms of what candidates would tell them…”

Why do my yeast infections keep coming back?
I have had a lot of yeast infections and it really annoys me. I am not sexually active and have recently been tested for STIs and HIV and the tests all came back negative. What else could be going on? The doctor gives me diflucan and it works for about 5 days and then the itching and burning come back. I also get a stabbing like pain in my clitoris
Help! I don’t want any mean answers please. Thanks everyone!
