Acne Scar Removal – The Next Step To A Clearer Complexion!

Category: AccutanePrescription Search @ 11:38 am

Nobody likes pimples that leave scars, but there are ways to help remove them. If you’ve severe acne in the past, or if you have pimples now, and they’re leaving scars, there is help. Know what some of your options are for treatment, and understand that acne scar removal is possible even with persistent acne woes, and scarring.

If you feel that you need help removing scars from pimples, it can be done relatively pain free. Today’s options for removing scars are up to date and modern. There are all kinds of treatments, but only a qualified dermatologist can help you get those scars off of your face or body, so you can start feeling confident about how you look.

Depending on the type of acne that you’ve had, or are experiencing now, your doctor will determine the routine of acne scar removal that you need. They’re trained in the right way to treat all types of skin problems, and it’s always best to leave treatment decisions in their hands for acne scar removal.

Some of the different ways that this is done can range from medication, surgery, and light or laser treatment. Medications like Tetracycline are antibiotics that will clear up acne by stopping infection, and the skin heals naturally.

Another type of medication that helps with acne scar removal is called Accutane. It has high doses of Vitamin A that eliminate oils from the skin, and cuts down on the scarring by getting rid of infections. There are potential side effects of the antibiotics and Accutane. After a while you can develop immunity to the antibiotics, or even become very allergic to the medications. If you take Accutane you can’t take it at all if you are pregnant, or might become pregnant because it causes birth defects. Only a dermatologist should advise this type of acne scar removal.

Light or laser treatment is great for removing scars that are moderate or severe too. You’ll know that your doctor is recommending these types of acne scar removal treatments when Blue or Red Light Therapy is discussed. Fotofacials are another type that is often used too. It clears your skin of scars by using pulsating frequencies of lights or lasers.

Scars are either totally removed, or they are faded to the point that a good makeup will hide the remaining evidence. The best thing about it is that results are sometimes better with this type of acne scar removal treatment. It’s important too that medications don’t have to be used for an extended period, and it’s not as dangerous. Acne scar removal is possible, and all you have to do is to make an appointment, and start on the way to healing your scars on your body, and your outlook on you.

Is the Swine Flu the Next Major Pandemic?

Category: TamifluPrescription Search @ 2:11 pm

Is the Swine Flu the Next Major Pandemic?

By now, you are probably tired of hearing about the Swine flu. The media frenzy over the outbreak has been intolerable. And, while media reports are starting to slow, there is still plenty of concern out there. So what should you do now to protect yourself?

Well, I want to protect you from any disease, whether it’s cancer, heart disease, or the flu. So here is some information from one of my favorite physician organization, the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, that might help you do just that.

Memories of the great flu pandemic of 1917-1918 have not and should never go away. That virulent virus killed about 100 million people.

At that time, this was about 5% of the earth’s population. An interesting story I just read was about a horse and buggy family doctor in Kansas who witnessed the flu’s fury early on. He informed the government. But they ignored him.

While the government ignored that outbreak, it did just the opposite in 1976. That’s when the government panicked the American people when it warned about the impending swine flu. Americans lined up by the millions to receive shots to prevent a disease that never materialized.

More people died of the vaccine than the flu. Of 46 million who got the vaccine, 4,000 filed damage claims with the government. The damages, in many cases, were severe paralysis called Guillain-Barr Syndrome.

The consent form the government used did not mention this as a complication. Furthermore, the public was told the government had tested the vaccine. The vaccine they gave to the public was, in fact, not tested (according to AAPS).

I was one who got into the cattle-like line up for the vaccine. (I had recently completed medical school, and knew no better.) I have not gotten a flu vaccine since.

Now the government is telling us to get to a doctor as soon as possible when you show flu-like symptoms. Do so before it is too late they say. That way, they can sell you some Big Pharma chemicals, such as Tamiflu.

But these drugs are for prophylaxis, for early treatment, or for treatment only of the sickest. But what is too late? The drug’s effect is said to shorten duration of illness by 0.5 to 1.5 days. Perhaps the drug might prevent more serious complications. Perhaps.

But what of the drug’s toxicity? Four years ago in Japan, investigators linked two teen suicides and 64 psychological disorders to Tamiflu. Otherwise normal persons developed panic attacks, delusions, delirium, and convulsions. The government added a warning to the label.

However, most doctors in the U.S. are not aware of these toxic effects. They are more likely to think that such effects are a manifestation of the influenza itself.

So where does that lead you? First, if history teaches us anything, be wary of anything the government tells you about your health. There is always a money or political trail to follow. Congressman Ron Paul of Texas is a physician and AAPS member.

CNN interviewed him and he told the story of the 1976 vaccine effort. He was one of two Congressmen to vote against it. He strongly opposes the government scaring the people to death whether its in medicine or economics. He suggests such tactics result in people begging for more government interference in our lives.

I certainly don’t want to downplay the seriousness of a pandemic. I’ve been expecting one for many years. Why? We are far more densely populated and with far more mobility than we were in 1917.

I still believe it’s only a matter of time before the real McCoy hits. But I will not look to government for truth or solutions. Please review past issues of Second Opinion and my e-alerts for details.

Vitamin D is a huge protector against flu. Take 5,000 units daily. Resveratrol is great for building your immune system. Both are available from Advanced Bionutritionals at www.advancedbionutritionals.com.

Sambucol is an extract of elderberry. Its widely available online. So is Oscillococcinum. Ive used high doses of vitamin A, 100,000 IU daily for several weeks during flu outbreaks. I’ve never seen toxicity from that dose if you don’t take it for more than a couple of months.

Vitamin C, one gram per hour or to bowel tolerance, is an outstanding immune booster. And, as I have always told you, please know where your nearest oxidation doctor is for intravenous vitamin C, hydrogen peroxide, ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy, or ozone therapy. See also the December 2008 issue for inhaled hydrogen peroxide for the flu.

Dr. Robert Jay Rowen, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Johns Hopkins University and graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine is internationally known for his work in the field of complementary/alternative/integrative medicine. He is affectionately known as the Father of Medical Freedom for pioneering the nation?s first statutory protection for alternative medicine in 1990 in Alaska, against a concerted opposition from the organized medical community and an imported quackbuster.

A few years later, the Alaska governor appointed him to a term on the state medical board against overwhelming opposition from the medical establishment. His appointment was ultimately confirmed by the legislature with overwhelming public support. The rare medical freedom he enjoyed in Alaska enabled him to greatly expand knowledge and experience in a multitude of disciplines and therapies not normally found in medicine.

Jumping into alternative medicine in 1983 through a practice in acupuncture, he quickly expanded to nutritional medicine, chelation therapy, oxidation therapy, homeopathy and herbal medicine, and took intensive training in neural therapy and prolotherapy to help treat and eliminate acute and chronic pain. Alaska?s laws enabled him to work extensively with innovative cancer therapies, ozone, and ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy. He is internationally known and respected for training hundreds of open-minded physicians in these techniques from around the world.

In 2001, he became editor in chief of Second Opinion, one of the nation?s leading monthly publications revealing the frontiers of medicine. Thus, he reduced his practice load considerably to write and teach, and relocated from Alaska to California where he works part time with his like minded talented wife, Terri Su, MD at her Santa Rosa office, Radiant Health Medical Center, in the north Bay area.

You are cordially invited to journey with him into the frontiers of medicine with a free past issue of Second Opinion. Dr. Rowen has authored numerous articles and some of which may be read online.
