I have a new sexual partner whom I recently found had a prescription for Valtrex. She claims that she had to be tested at the age of 11 (due to being sexually abused) and that is when she started taking the medication. She claims that she has NEVER had an outbreak and it is nothing to worry about. I am extremely unsure how to proceed. She is an AMAZING person but I haven’t known her long enough to fully trust her (i know I shouldn’t have started a sexual relationship with someone I haven’t known that long). I really want to believe and trust her but don’t know how to proceed. What are the different types of herpes and how should I proceed? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated…
